Dr. No (James Bond theme - Monty Norman orchestra)

The original and iconic theme. Worn out and a bit thin? Sure, but still
something that just oozes Bond.
Perhaps the overriding reason I can't (besides the obvious) that I can't
consider _Never say Never_ and official Bond film. You never hear those
notes.

From Russia with Love (Matt Montro)

Matt Montro comes off sounding as Rat Packy as possible without being a
club member. And for some reason I can't even come close to explaining the
darn thing reminds me of something Tim Rice might write. Also starts the
tradition of ending the theme song with one long ass vocal note.

Goldfinger (Shirley Bassey)

Ah, the distinctive voice of Shirley Bassey. Not just the only performer
to do more than one theme, but asked to belt out three of them. But for me
personally it's the least likable of the three she did.

Thunderball (Tom Jones)

One of my favorites. I love Tom's vocal style. Over the top? Probably. But
it works for me.

You Only Live Twice (Nancy Sinatra)

I'm not a huge fan of Nancy's singing but it works well enough here. I
really like the strings and the melody is pleasant enough throughout. This
does kill off the ending LAVN.

I really like this riff. Nothing outstanding by and stretch, but easy to
listen to.

Live and Let Die (Paul McCartney & Wings)

Easily my least favorite theme. Then again, I've never been a fan of Paul's
work with Wings. The song has one slightly catchy riff in it, but that gets
interrupted with nonsense in my book. The one theme I will often skip over
when running through the playlist.

The Spy Who Loved Me (Nobody does it Better - Carly Simon)

Maybe from overplay when it first came out, but this is second on my yuck
list. Not a Carly Simon fan in general and this did nothing to change my
mind.

Another middle of the road theme for me. Nothing special, nothing
offensive. Rita doesn't really add anything to the mix.

like it. Yes, I'm a bit of an 80's closet music fan.

Slowing things down and getting back to basics again. Not a favorite but
still a good and Gladys holds her own with it.

Not the best material to work with but Tina gets the most out of it taking
something mostly forgettable and giving you something to remember.

Absolutely love Sheryl's vocals here, and I wouldn't consider myself a
Sheryl Crow fan. Until this I had no idea she could pull something like
this off.

The World is not Enough (Garbage)

A band I doubt I could name one other song they've done, but I like what
they've done with this. Nothing fantastic, but likable enough, even if the
world isn't.

Die Another Day (Madonnna)

Okay, I'll admit. I'm a big older Madonna fan. Don't care much for her
early stuff but really like what she's done after the age of 36 or so. So
naturally this is another of my favorites.

Casino Royale (You Know my Name - Chris Cornell)

This one grew on me. When I first heard it while catching the movie I was
highly unimpressed. But after multiple viewings of the movie once it came
out on disc the song has really grown on me and I quite like it now.

Got better with a few listens, but still not a favorite. Middle of the pack
theme for me.

Skyfall (Adele)

While I consider myself a bit of an Adele fan I don't think this is on par
with her great stuff. Don't get me wrong, I still like it but when I heard
Adele was doing the theme I was hoping to get blown away. I wasn't.
