My Little Twitter Rant

I love Twitter.

I find it a great source for quick bites of information and/or
entertainment.

However, there are two things about Twitter that I don't understand and
drive me nuts.
And they aren't so much about Twitter itself, but about the psyche of two
certain types of users.

The Hater:
Why follow someone just to complain and attempt to belittle them?
Irritainment?
They enjoy getting worked up and angry?
I just don't understand.

The RT Hound:
This one I think I understand even less. People asking for a retweet or
"shout out".
The only thing I can guess is that their lives are so pathetic they need
some kind of recognition to prove their existence?
Do they print out the RT and paste it on the wall over their bed?

If anyone can offer any insight into either of these maybe it would give me
a better understanding of the impetus behind the actions and with that
greater understanding perhaps acceptance and less disgust.
But probably not.

I'm sorry you have a little twitter...

While I have a Twitter account, I never use it. I established it several
years ago to participate in some Essen discussions, but made only a couple
of posts. It amazes me that at least once a month someone new starts to
follow me. I wonder where they expect me to take them...

God I've missed questions like this.

I believe you've misspelled "Attention Whore" as "retweeter". I'm not sure
how that drastic a mistake could be made, but hey, the heat is stifling
this time of year.

Take care, y'all.
